    Sister Kathleen Hemelt, 90, teacher administrator.
    Sister Kathleen Hemelt, a member of the Daughters of Charity for 73 years, died of congestive heart failure Friday at St. Joseph's Provincial House in Emmitsburg. She was 90. She began her career as a teacher at the Home for Catholic Children in Boston. She later taught in Syracuse, N.Y., before returning to Balitmore and teaching at Our Lady of Lourdes School in Ashburton and St. Martin's School in West Baltimore. She was also a medical records administrator at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy, N.Y., Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Fla., and Providence Hospital in Washington. In 1974, she came to her order's headquarters in Emmitsburg, where she was transportation coordinator, librarian and archivist. Born in Baltimore and raised on Homewood Avenue, she entered the Daughters of Charity in 1926. She was a graduate of St. Joseph's High School in Emmitsburg and received a bachelor of science degree from St. Joseph's College, also in Emmitsburg, in 1951. A Mass of Christian burial was offered Tuesday. Sister Kathleen is survived by a brother, (xxx). of Rodgers Forge; a sister, (xxx) of Towson; three nephews; and a niece.
