  1.   Neither Haylford or Ashton is recognizable as a village or area in Cornwall, unless these were ancient parishes that have long disappeared. This seems to have been perpetuated by WFT. There is a coastal village named Hayle in Cornwall and a village in Devon named Ashburton.
