Mrs. W. W. Drought, widow of a beloved pioneer physician of this city, died this Saturday morning, at the Broen Memorial Home.

Katherine Hovey was born in Belvidere, Illinois April 11, 1869. When a child, she moved to Worthington, Minnesota with her parents. She grew to womanhood there, and was a graduate of the Mankato Teachers College.

Miss Hovey was one of the npopular teachers in Fergus Falls, coming here as a first grade teacher. On August 23, 1899, she was married to Dr. W. W. Drought, one of the city's prominent physicians. Five children were born to them, one son dying in infancy, a second son, Warren Henry, at the age of 21 years.

Surviving a beloved kother are three daughters--Mrs. Kenneth (Dorothy) Keane of this city; Mrs. F. C. (Mary) Markwardt of Trenton; and Mrs. John A. (Helen) Field of Wayzata. There are also six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Dr. Drought proceeded her in death in 1950.

Mrs. Drought was a woman with a very keen mind, a gracious hostess, and was always kindly and thoughtful of others. As the wife of a physician she knew the sorrows and heartaches of the community. Many will cherish her memory.
