    Quality: 4 Thomas Loesch Sr., 76, of Evansville, Ind., passed away at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at his residence.
    Thomas was born August 14, 1932, in Evansville, Ind. to Ralph and Elizabeth (Crowder) Loesch. He graduated from Central High School and served in the United States Navy in the Korean War. Tom was a salesman at General Foods and Beechnut and retired from Bucyrus Erie in 1980. He enjoyed reading about Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War and was an avid woodworker, bird watcher and gardener. Tom was a lifetime member of First Southern Baptist where he dressed at Christmas as Santa Claus for the children's party. He never met a stranger and was called the "Carousel Santa Claus". Tom had many friends and his Carousel Family.
    He is survived by his Wife of 57 Years, Dorene (Tobias) Loesch of Evansville, Ind.; one daughter, Jennifer Rowden and her husband, Mark of Newburgh, Ind.; two sons, Andrew Loesch and his wife, Glenda of Evansville, Ind. and Thomas Loesch, Jr. and Billy Hedel of Evansville, Ind.; three sisters, Faynetta Prince of Evansville, Ind., June Clark of Evansville, Ind. and Rosemary Loesch of Evansville, Ind.; two brothers, Daniel Loesch and his wife, Diane of Cincinnati, Ohio, James Loesch and his wife, Dorris of Evansville, Ind.; five grandchildren, Ryan Loesch and his wife, Deidra, Scott Loesch, Eric Loesch, Sarah Loesch and Hayden Rowden; his adopted family, Andy and Cindy Pugh, Albert and Mary Pecka and family, Robert Schnute and Brooke Harris and family; several nieces and nephews; his beloved dog, Cricket; and cat, Dickens.
    He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Johnny Loesch.
    Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 25, 2009, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, 5330 Washington Avenue, with Reverend Don Moore officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
    Friends may call from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday, April 24, 2009, and 9 a.m. until 10 a.m., service time, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
