    Mrs. Julia Baxter, late widow of the Hon. Eli H. Baxter, died in Houston, Texas, at the house of her daughter, Mrs. Dr. Connell, on the 10th February 1872, in the seventy second year of her age. Mrs. Baxter was a native of Hancock county, Georgia, the daughter of Mr. Obediah Richardson, where she was married to Eli H. Baxter in 1819. In 1867 Mrs. Baxter removed to Houston with her daughter Elizabeth, son Eli, and lived with her married daughter Mrs. Connell, where in 1868 she lost her son Eli.
