Juanita Jackson was born July 19, 1917 in Warren, Texas to W.L. and Betty (Laird) Moye. She was one of five children. On June 8, 1940, she and Carlton Jackson, Sr. were married in Port Arthur. To this union three sons were born.

Juanita was a nurse for over 30 years, working at St. Mary's Hospital in Port Arthur, Richards Memorial Hospital and Manor Oaks Nursing Home.

Juanita passed away Friday, August 22, 2008 at the Sterling House in Georgetown, reaching rhe age of 91. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton Jackson, Sr. on March 1, 1991; son, Carlton Jackson, Jr. on March 13, 2006; sister, Eleanor Hildebrand. Parents and step mother, Sadie Moye.

Surviving, Sons, Reagan Jackson and wife Claire of Georgetown and Lynn Jackson and wife Becky of Corinth. Brother, Luther Moye of Warren. Sisters, Geraldine Burns of Frisco and Lavaun Gladden of Groves. 4 grandchildren, Kerstin Garbs of Caldwell, April Barnes of Austin, Daniel Jackson of Lewisville and Steven Jackson of Corinth. 5 great grandchildren, Isabel Barnes and Addison Barnes of Austin, Sarah Jackson of Lewisville, Jacob Loftin of Caldwell and Tanner Baker of Caldwell.

Services, 11:00 A.M. Monday, August 25, 2008 at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home, burial in the Salty Cemetery with Dr. Bill Jones of Georgetown officiating. Visitation, 6PM to 8PM Sunday, August 24, 2008 in the funeral home. Pallbearers, Jack Hildebrand, Will Barnes, Greg Garbs, Steven Jackson, Tanner Baker, Jacob Loftin.
