7 Josiah Rising b. 21 Feb 1694, Suffield, CT; son of John Rising & Sarah Hale; m. 19 Jul 1716, Sallt‑AV‑Recollet, Canada, Abigail Nims; dau. of Godffrey Ninns & widow Margaret Williams; b. 3 May 1700, Deerfield, MA. Josiah and Abigail were captured at Deerfield, MA during the raid by the French and their indian allies. The 1704 Massacre caught Josiah while he was staying at his uncles home in Deerfield. They had a chance to return to America but decided not to. They had eight children all born Canada."
