    Children of Benjamin Putnam [#23] and first wife Hannah [sic, see discussion of her identity on mother's page], bp. Salem 2 Oct 1687, probably died young.

  3. Note: on p. 58, Putnam has a footnote saying "Dr. Poore states that he d. 21 Oct, 1751." Since Josiah was not mentioned in his father's will of 28 Oct 1706, this seems very unlikely. Further, such a death is not recorded in Salem VRs or Danvers VRs. Despite this note, Putnam says that Josiah probably died young, so he himself did not seem to find this death date credible.
