Obituaries J.C. OSBORN J.C.Osborn passed away at his home on Yeomans street, 2:30 Tuesday morning. He was widely known in Ionia county, having resided here the past 40 years. Mr. Osborn had been ill several months, and had received treatment for several weeks at the universtiy hospital, Ann Arbor. A few weeks later he returned home and Tuesday morning his condition became critical. Mr. Osborn was born at Cornersburg, Ohio, July 26, 1858, and came to Michigan with his parents at the age of 11 years, where he resided on a farm northeast of Pewamo until he was united in marriage to Mary Doris in 1885, who preceded her husband's death four years ago. Mr. Osborn will be remembered in Pewamo as having conducted a _______ at one time was the owner of the Morse street community store in Ionia. He was a member of Ionia lodge No.36, F.& A. M., having affiliated with the Pewamo order in 1902. Surviving in the immediate family is one son, Charles E. and two grandsons, Royal and Vernon. In the home circle Mr. Osborn leaves two brothers, M.C.,of Leroy and Charles, of Lansing. Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. from the residence. Osborn were conducted fron the home on Yeomans street, Friday afternoon by Rev. W. F. Kendrick. The interment followed the services in East Plains cemetery. Mr. Osborn held a longstanding membership in the Masonic lodge and this body acted as escort and services in East Plains cemetery. Masonic auspice. Mrs. Elmer Cowan was in charge of flowers. Elmer Cowan, Byron Haskins, Bert Fox, Dr. J.J. Culp, Hal Orser and Harry Dyer were bearers. Those from out of town attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. M.C.
