1854, March - Josiah signs the SPIRITUALISTS MEMORIAL TO CONGRESS requesting the appointment of a "Scientific Commission to investigate certain physical and mental phenomena of questionable origin and mysterious import that have of late occurred in this country and in Europe" A number of other people in Maquon also signed including Nelson Selby.
