  3. Josiah is assumed to be the son Josiah of John Austin and Abigail Felch because he named a son Felch. Josiah is named last of the sons in the division of John Austin's estate, so probably the youngest child, but no guardian is appointed in 1767 suggesting he was of age, but there is no age at death or birth record to confirm this, and his marriage in 1782 would be somewhat later in life than typical. We know he came to Wendell from Western (now Warren) about 1789 based on a deed (Franklin deed Vol. 9, p. 628, but other than that and his intentions, there is no earlier record of him.
