    JOSEPHINE DUCKETT JETER

    Josephine Duckett Jeter, 79, a native of Bladensburg and a resident of the Washington area until 1934, died Dec. 22 at Mercy Hospital in San Diego of complications after heart surgery. Mrs. Jeter graduated from the Misses Eastman School in Washington. She had accompanied her late husband, retired Navy Rear Adm. Thomas Powers Jeter, on assignments in Argentina and in the United States. They settled in Coronado, Calif., in 1949. He died in 1979. Survivors include a son, Thomas P. Jeter Jr. of Coronado; a brother, Richard B. Duckett of New York City and St. Petersburg, Fla.; a grandson; and a great-granddaughter.
