OBIT: Thanks to Julie in AR** Joe Wasley died Monday, Joseph Edward Wasley, a resident of Grass Valley for 50 yr, died Monday at Golden Empire Convalescent Hospital following a short illness. He was 80. Mr Wasley was native to Ironwood Michigan as a young man and in the Grass Valley area until his retirement. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Grass Valley. Survivors are his wife, Mamie: daughters Billie Andrews of Grass Valley, Nadine Robinson of Davis and Lola Fields of Nevada City; a son Arnold Smith of Santa Rosa; brothers, Martin, Grass Valley and William of Michigan; 12 grandchildren and 33 g-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2PM Wednesday at Hooper and Weaver Chapel with Rev Robert L Roy officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Ridge Lawn Cemetery. Lot info; sp 16 row L age 80.
