Joseph Todd lived in a number of locations in Liberty township, Ohio. His grandchildren remember visiting him in his last residence, an apartment at 3045 Green Acres Dr. Before that, Joe and Dorothy lived in a house that was formerly an outbuilding or carriage house for a large manor style house on Loganway Ave. near its intersection with Warner Rd. There are also photographs of Isabel Todd and a young Sammy Jo Todd from the 1940s at 1944 Sampson Dr. There are also photos from the same era (Sammy in the late 1940s) at houses labeled "Warner Rd." house and Redondo Rd. house. It is not certain which of these belonged to Joe Todd, and which belonged to other friends and relatives.

While not mentioned in the obituary, Joseph Todd attended Carnegie Tech in Pittsburgh for some time but did not graduate. This story was told to Charles Stanier, probably by Dorothy Todd, when Charlie started attending Carnegie Mellon in 1999. Charlie Stanier has original black and white prints of Joseph Todd's time in the oil fields.
