Joseph B. Powers, 69, of 117 E. Grant St was dead on arrival at Jameson Memorial Hospital at 5:45 PM yesterday, apparently of a heart attack.

He was born in West Plains, MO, 11 Oct 1901 to the late Walker and Rebecca Blair Powers. He was a retired supervisor and director of the Family Finance Co in New York City. Mr. Powers was a former member of the Third united Presbyterian Church, Lodge 69, BPOE of New Castle and the NY Athletic Club. He is survived by his wife, the former Margaret M. Pattison whom he married 7 July 1930 and a sister Mrs. Ray G (Esther M) Webster of Cleveland. He was preceded in death by a brother Judge John S. Powers, 9 other brothers and sisters, and a son john B in 1948.

Friends will be received at the J Bradley Memorial Home, from 7-9 PM and from 2-4 and 7-9 tomorrow. The service will be at 2 PM at the funeral home, conducted by Dr. Cuyler N Ferguson of Third United Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery.

Bradley McGonigle Memorial Home. The service will be at 2 PM Saturday at the funeral home conducted by Dr. Cuyler M. Ferguson of Third UP Church. Burial in Oak Park Cemetery.
