This Joseph Newman May be my GGGrandfather. Joseph is either son of Elam, twin Brother of Haman, or Haman's first cousin, the son of Winston, I believe. I don't think the census records, when examined from 1820 onward, support the notion that Haman and Joseph were twin brothers. There may be two Josephs, also. I think Joseph b1750 is the father of both Winston and Elam, and GGGGgrandfather, in either case. Looking for DNA or other confirmatory evidence. see notes of Joseph Newman recorded elsewhere.
