Monumental inscription, West Wickham churchyard. White marble flat stone and kerb, with two scroll books on top Scroll 1: In loving memory of my dear husband Joseph Killick born Apr 7th 1868, died Feb 8th 1925 Also of his devoted wife Edith born Jul 17th 1870, died Jan 30th 1933. For ever with the Lord. Scroll 2: In affectionate remembrance of Amy Elizabeth, dearly loved daughter of Joseph and Edith Killick, fell asleep Dec 12th 1920 aged 15 years Also of our devoted Lilian Edith who died Apr 30th 1921 aged 25. With ever a thought for others till the end And Louise Killick died 26th Feb 1984 aged 83 years White marble, small flat stone: Joseph George Thomas Killick, died 29th May 1975 aged 65. Another life's work well done. Wills: Joseph 1925, Edith 1933, Louisa Agnes 1984, all described as of West Wickham; and Joseph George Thomas of Hayes 1975

(Research):resided North Road in 12 The Alders,West Wickham, occupation Builder & Undertaker. Joseph Killick and his brother Roland inherited the carpenter and joiner business founded by their father James Killick and created the builders and undertakers business, J & R Killick in Kent Road/Surrey Road, which still operates today. Joseph was also Captain of the village Fire Brigade (perhaps because he owned the horses which drew the hearse) In Dec 1894 the first act of the new Parish Council was to authorise payment of 11-12-8d for a uniform, buttons and epaulettes for Joseph Killick
