"Joseph2 Garnsey, son of Henry1 and Hannah(Munnings) Garnsey, born probably at Dorchester, Mass., about October, 1649, bpt. at First Church Dorchester, 29 Apr. 1660 with brother John, 'the elder being about 12 yrs. old and the other about a yeare & halfe younger'; (First Ch. of Dorchester rec. pg. 170) He d. in Milford, Conn. 'March 30, 1730 in ye 80th year of his age' - according to his tombstone in Milford Cemetery. His will was signed in Milford, 23rd April 1730, sworn to Mar. 17, 1730/31, and inventory taken Mar. 19th, 1730/31. It seems there is an error on the t.s. date. Bronson gives the death date as 10 Mar. 1730/31, which fits with the record of dates on will and probate of it."
