↑ Many secondary sources show this Joseph living, m. 1705 Windsor, CT, Abigail Griswold and dying there 12 Jul 1736. The marriage and death are found in Barbour, but the evidence connecting that Joseph to this one, such as an age at death, is unknown. The traditional presentation would require that either 1) this family named a son Joseph 2 months before the other Joseph died, or 2) one of the above dates has misinterpreted a month number, either both being June or both being Aug., in which case then a normal chronology can be established (online is only a copy p. 40 and gives month names, so if such a misinterpretation of month number happened, it was done with the copy was made, and the original is needed). More research is needed because appearances suggest both sons named Joseph died, one having "Died" with no date appended to the birth date, probably written when the birth of the second son Joseph was recorded, and the other's death recorded in the Burials column.
