José Soares was born in 5 October 1886 in Eleele, Kauai, Territory of Hawaii, United States.[1] He appeared in the census on 21 June 1900 in Waimea, Kauai, Territory of Hawaii, United States.[1] He appeared in the census on 9 May 1910 in Waialua, Honolulu, Territory of Hawaii, United States where he lived Main Road with his parents and was a fireman on a sugar plantation.[2] He departed from Honolulu, Honolulu, Territory of Hawaii, United States on 13 November 1919 on the S.S. Sachum, and was described as a laborer.[3] He is a friend of M.B. Correa of Punchbowl Honolulu.[3]
