The marriage certificate shows both him and his wife living at 4 Emerald Street Leicester at the time of the wedding, although his occupation is listed as collier. Not too many mines in Leicester, as I recall. His father is listed as William Weston. The dates are the problem. The marriage certificate shows him as being aged 23, therefore being born c1862. This fits in with the censuses for 1891 and 1901. However in 1881 Jonothan(sic) Weston is living as a lodger in Hugglescote, at the home of Joseph and Annie Garrett. Annie was born c1854 and born in Barlestone. William Weston had a daughter Annie born 1854 in Barlestone. According to this census record, Jonathan was born c1860. The only Jonathan Weston in the 1861 and 1871 census from Barlestone was the son of William Weston, and shows as being born c1858.
