Jonathan is known to be a son of Nathaniel by the deed of 1726. He sold part of the homestead in 1726 and the remainder in 1742, when he moved to Berkley near the town line between Berkley and Middleboro. He had his first five children baptized by the Rev. Samuel Tobey, first pastor of the Congregational church there on August 22, 1742.
