    16 Aug 1742: "Administration on ye Estate of mr Jon'a Hastings is granted to his widow Sarah; Cap't Moses Bordman & Cap't S. Whittemor Surety 2000lb."
    20 Aug 1742: Bond of Sarah Hastings Widow of Cambridge as administratrix of the Estate of her late Husband Mr Jonathan Hastings late of said Town Dece'd Intestate.
    21 Oct 1742: Inventory of the personal Estate of mr Jonathan Hastings Late of Cambridge, taken by Sam'l Bowman, Henry Prentis, Ebenezer ffrost. Sworn to 13 Dec 1742 by Mrs Sarah Hastings.
    3 Oct 1743: I appoint mr Robert Sharp Guardian of Sam'l Hastings in his 20th year, son of mr Jon'a Hastings Dec'd. [continuing from separate piece of paper:] Hannah in her 19th yr & Abigail her 17th yr other children of J'a Hastings have chosen mr Robert Sharp for their guardian ... I appoint s'd Sharp Guardian to Susanna another child in her 13th yr.

    5 Dec 1743: Inventory of real estate, £4495:10:0. Portions set off to Mrs Sarah Hastings (the Deceased's widow); to Jonathan Eldest son he to pay Robert, Sarah, Hannah, Abigail; to Robert a son of said Deceas'd; to John a son of said Deceased; to Samuel youngest son he to pay Sarah; to Sarah Eldest Daughter; to Hannah a Daughter of said Deceased; to Abigail a Daughter of said Deceased; to Susanna youngest Daughter of said Deceased. Signed by Sarah Hastings, Jon'a Hasting, Robert Hastings, John Hastings, Sarah Hastings, Robert Sharp.

    2 Aug 1766: Agreement of heirs [apparently due to some heirs dying before Jonathan paid them, causing his share to be unequal] of "our Hon'd Father mr Jonathan Hastings late of Cambridge yeoman" whereas "the said Deceased's Estate is indebted to his Son Jonathan Hastings Esq'r", allowing for a payment "to his sister Hannah Dece'd & now belongs to the surviving Heirs", distributes to Jonathan Hastings Esq'r (Eldest son of the said Intestate), John Hastings, Samuel Hastings, Sarah Hastings (only surviving Daughter of the said Intestate). Signed by Jon'a Hastings, John Hastings, Sam'll Hastings, Sarah Hastings.
