    Barber,3 Thomas,2 Thomas,1) b. Oct, 13, 1735; m. 1st, Oct. 12, 1761, Mary Tuttle of Harwinton, who was b. Mch. 22, 1751 [error for Mch. 23, 1741]. 'He probably m. for 2nd wife Mary Fitch, dau. of Joseph Fitch, from whom he received lands in Windsor 'for love and goodwill.' He was one of the early settlers on the east side of the river, and was much troubled with the Indians. In 1665 he subscribed 6s, to raise the minister's salary. He lived to the age of 105 years.'"-Orcutt's 'History of Torrington.'"

    The above quote from Orcutt referred to the first John Colt of Hartford and Windsor, not this man.
