My understanding of the Kingston register, is that the date given is that of the 3rd publishing of Marriage Banns, at which time the couple is considered married, perhaps with a short announcement at the service. So essentially the 22 Jan 1727 date is the date of marriage, unless the Dutch did this differently. Since Jonas was French, this tradition may not have applied.
