John Whitmore [#4-22], s/o John Whitmore [#1-4, p. 17, and Rachael Eliot Poulter, b. Medford 27 Apr 1683, d. Billerica [sic, recorded at Medford, buried at Medford, "of Medford" per his will and his probate] 26 Mar 1753, m. 1706 Mary Lane. [Note: on p. 26: "The latter part of his life was spent with his son John, who had removed to Billerica." This appears to be incorrect. His will says his son John of Bedford [i.e., not Billerica] was deceased.]

Will of "John Whitmore of Medford ... Gentleman: being weak in Body", dated 30 May 1752, codicil dated 3 Dec 1752, proved 9 Apr 1753, names wife Mary, to have Negro man named York; grand Daughter Mary the only Daughter of my Son John Whitmore late of Bedford; grand Son Jon'a Webber; grandson James Webber; grandson Joseph Webber; daughter Mary; grand Son Benjamin Webber; grand son John Webber; daughter Susanna and her sons and her daughter Martha; grand Son John Skinner; grand Son Abraham Skinner; grand son Joseph Skinner; daughter Martha Skinner widow of my son in Law John Skinner; son Francis Whittmore of Medford; son William Whitmore of Medford; Mary Whitmore the wife of me does give to her son Francis Whitmore of Medford Trader half her real estate "both in Great Britain & in Bedford", the other half to son William Whitmore of Medford Trader. Sons Francis Whitmore and William Whitmore to be executors of "our Last Will and Testament". Signed by John Whitmore and Mary Whitmore. 2 Feb 1761: Division of Real Estate of John Whitmore of Medford between Frances [sic] Whitmore one of the Devisees and mr William Whitmore the other of the aforesaid Devisees. Assented to by Francis Whitmore and Samuel Brooks Esq'r Guardian of the Children of W'm Whitmore.
