W. who was in trouble in Boston in 1677 for trading powder and shot to Ind. and ab. that time shipped a master and crew in Boston and went on a fishing trip in his barke to Cape Sable where taken by Ind. The Boston John m. ± 1668 Lydia Goodyear (see Gladman) and had ch: John, b. 22 Jan. 1668-9. Rebecca, b. 22 Feb. 1670-1, both in Boston. Unrec: Lydia, m. John Gerrish(4), d. 8 Jan. 1697-8, ag. ± 27. Richard. Mary, m. James Treworgye(3). See [Capt. Thomas] Lake(3). Mrs. Lydia d. in Boston 29 Sept. 1700, ag. 55, and was bur. on Copp's Hill beside or near her dau. Lydia. The son, Mr. John, merchant, Boston, Arrowsic, representative of Sir Bibye Lake, m. in Boston 13 July 1711 Elizabeth Butler, joined Boston Second Ch. 6 Jan. 1711-2, had ch., Elizabeth, John (Portsm. mariner 1735, will 1750) and ano. Elizabeth (w. of Caleb Richardson of Boston 1735) bp. there 1712-1715. Will, 20 Nov. 1713 (d. at Arrowsic 26 Nov. 1717), beq. est. in par. of Westharrock, co. Essex, in Charlestown, Mass., and in par. of Stone, co. Kent. Madam Watts had their dau. Lydia bp. at Arrowsic 15 Dec. 1717, and soon m. 2d her husb.'s partner Capt. John Penhallow (2), who was Lydia's gdn. in 1735.
