Have obit: John Thomas who had lived out his days with his brother Ezra at Sereno quietly passed over on Feb. 7. He was aged 58 years and had been very much afflicted for several years in part and becoming entirely so ill he passed away. In view of the loss, we as members of the Sereno S.S. have sustained by the decease of our friend and associate, John and of the still heavier loss of those who were nearest and dearest to him resolve that it is only a just tribute to the memory of the departed to say, that in regretting his removal from our midst, we mourn for one who was in every way worthy of our respect. when he became so afflicted that he could not attend the S. he bewailed this as his greatest trial.

We sincerely condole with the family who has loved and cared for the deceased on the dispensation with which it has pleased. Divine????? to afflict them and commend to Him who orders all things for the best.         Sereno S.S.
