"195-19. John³ Tenney (James, Thomas), born 6 Apr., 1692; married (int. 23 Nov., 1723) Sarah Palmer of Haverhill. He married (2) in Bradford, 16 Mar., 1747, Abiah Merrill. His home in Rowley was in Byfield Parish, where he died 29 Jan., 1772 (Byfield Ch. R.). Administration granted 6 Apr., 1772, to Joseph Poor; Widow Abiah declined as she was 'very old and infirm and incapagle of settling the estate' (Essex Probate, 347:374)."
