Discrepancies: 1. place of birth Primghar, O'Brien, Iowa -- from Franklin family history Spencer, Clay, Iowa -- from Authenticated Record of Marriage the Franklin Family history does not show any sources at all, and the Authenticated Record of Marriage was produced in 1957, 36 years after the marriage that took place in 1921. 2. Birthdate for Donald H. Stamp (John Curtis Sterling) 22 Sep 1897 -- from Franklin Family History 1893 -- from authenticated Record of Marriage (assuming September 22 is accurate, the Record of Marriage states Donald Stamp would be 29 years old at his next birthday; therefore 28 years old on date of marriage 21 Oct 1921; 1921- 28 = 1893. However, the Authenticated Record of Marriage was produced in 1957, 36 years after the actual marriage. 3. Date of marriage of Donald H. Stamp and Grace Ada Baldwin: 22 Oct 1921 -- Franklin Family History 21 Oct 1921 -- Authenticated Record of Marriage At this time I will go with the 21 Oct date, since this source is closer to the original source (2nd level from official record) than the Franklin Family History, which was unsourced, and probably at least three levels of person to person.

Born as Donald Hugo Stamp; apparently from a wealthy family on the East Coast. Cut all ties with his family when they did not approve of his wife. Verified by Authenticated Record of Marriage between Grace Ada Baldwin and Donald H. Stamp, and Notarized letter from Grace A. Stamp verifying that Donald Hugo Stone changed his name to John Curtis Sterling.
