Obituary JOHN T. SMITH

   The funeral of John T. Smith who died Friday night at his home in New Middletown of infirmities of advance age, was held Sunday afternoon from the Zion Lutheran church with burial in Zion cemetery.
   The deceased spent nearly all of the 83 years of his life in or near New Middletown.  He taught school 22 years, worked as a carpenter 20 years, and lived on his farm the rest of his life.  He is survived by his wife and two sons, Chauncey and Ezra;  also four grandchildren.
