1. Name is spelled "Shahan" in IGI, "Shahon" in 1880 Census. 2. In the Mt. Calvary Cemetery Index, John is mistakenly listed as "John S. Drummey 1823-1883" 3. Indexed as Shahin on 1870 Census. 4. Found drowned in North Fork Creek (Licking River?). He had been on his way to build a fence, and is believed to have fallen off the Pan Handle Railroad bridge. A large concourse of friends and relatives followed the remains from St. Francis de Sales Church to the cemetery. Another obituary, on 25 May, raises the question of possible suicide. 5. Resided at 11 Walnut St. (just west of 5th) in 1883.
