    John H. Rivenburg of Monticello, a retired heavy equipment operator and lifelong resident of the area, died Tuesday, Sept. 12, at Community General Hospital, Harris. He was 88.

    The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Rivenburg, he was born Aug. 14, 1907, in Hancock. He was the widower of Flora Avery Rivenburg.

    Survivors include one son, Donald Rivenburg of Monticello; one daughter, Ruth Horton of Eldred; one sister, Bessie Loveless of Rochester; and seven grandchildren.

    The Rev. Robert Pinto will officiate at services. Burial will be in the Budd Cemetery, Monticello.
