    "3 John2 Ranney, (Thomas1), b. Nov. 14, 1662; … John2 Ranney and his wife were adm. to full communion in the Middletown ch. June 2, 1695; were original members of the North Society ch. organized Jan. 5, 1714-15. His homestead was next north of that of his brother Thomas. In 1717 he sold out and rem. to East Middletown where he and his wife were original members of the Third Society ch. organized 1721. The dates of their deaths are unknown."
