  16. at home after an illness of five years, married at time of death (fromobit). The death certificate reports he died at 11am from appoplexy onSept 5; with contributory chronic Bright's Disease for several years.His daughter, Hazel was the informant
  17. next to son, Howard, and his wife. When we visited this cemetery, we didnot see a marker for the son
  18. "Alliance -POWELL, John C., 70, died Saturday morning at his home on theHarrisburg Road after an illness of five years. He was born in MarlboroTownship and lived in that vicinity throughout his life. He was amember of the Science Hill Reformed church. Surviving are his widow,Mrs. Sarah Powell; his mother, Mrs. Lydia E. Powell; two daughters, Mrs.Erma Diedrick of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Mrs. Hazel Freshley ofnear Harrisburg; two brothers, D. L. Powell of Baltimore, Maryland, andCharles Powell of North Canton; one sister Mrs. Phoebe Hazen of nearHarrisburg, and three grandchildren. The body is at the Sharer funeralhome and will be removed to the home late Sunday afternoon. Funeralservices will be Tuesday at 2:30 PM with the Rev. A. R. Elshoffofficiating. Burial will be in the Marlboro Cemetery."
