    John & Abigail started homemaking in Pasquatank County. Then they moved to Fredrick, VA, and then to Cane Creek in Orange County, NC. There land grant was made in 1748. A portion of their original tract of land has been handed down through the family, and is now owned by Anna Lois (Pike) Dixon. It is located across from Harold Isley, now Alamance County.
