In memory of Major-General John Picton, late lieutenant Colonel of the 12th Regt. of Infantry, youngest son of Thos. Picton of Poyston in the county of Pembroke, Esq., on the 5th of January 1815 aged years, having served the whole of the Revolutionary Wars in Flanders, Holland and the East Indies.
