  3. Source:Hudson, Charles. History of the Town of Marlborough, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, p. 426, says Nathaniel's son John m. Experience --- [other sources say her maiden name is Walcott] and had children Elizabeth in 1733 and Philip in 1735. If so, this would be a first marriage as he married Susanna Allen in 1742, but it appears incorrect. Nathaniel's son John was only 18 when the first child was born so not likely to be the father, and neither child was assigned a guardian in 1752 supporting this assessment. It appears that the John Oaks who had a wife Experience removed to Sunderland where he died in 1767, as did the son Philip whose birth is recorded in Marlborough (see here).
