Perhaps his parents were Joshua and Ruth (Andrews) Norwood. If so, his birth date was 31 March 1781 and he was shipwrecked in 1815. If so, his third wife would have been Lydia Gould.

Another possibility is Samuel Norwood and Mary Mullikin... or Edward and Mary Fitzedmunds... curses on researchers who do not provide sources to back up their claims.
