↑Allred, p. 200, assumes this name is the more genealogically prominent Nickerson, but that assumption appears incorrect. She has no other records for anybody named either Nicholson or Nickerson. However, both the marriage and intentions use variations of Nicholson, and two deeds show "John Nicholson" buying land in Warwick in 1788 (Vol. 2, p. 481) and selling it in 1793 (Vol. 15, p. 687, acknowledged 1796). A John Nicholson shows up in Shoreham VT in the 1800 census with wife and 2 children. One of those children may be the Jerusha (Nicholson) Bell who d. in Cornwall, VT, in 1814.
