Children of Samuel Moore and wife Elizabeth: John, b. 27 Jan 1789.
[Note: would seem to be too young to be the John Moore Jr. of p. 190 who m. 20 Sep 1807 Polly Melendy, being 18 at the time of that marriage. Deeds cited below show John Moore was married to Fanny by 1833, probably earlier. (Allred says Polly did not die until 1834, which would imply she married a different John Moore, but Allred has made an error, and the Polly Moore who died in 1834 was the wife of William Moore.) However, it appears (though not conclusively) that John and Polly Moore moved to Pennsylvania and Polly was still alive in 1861, which implies Polly married a different John Moore. It is suspected that John Moore Jr. who m. Polly Melendy is the son of John Moore Sr., but no birth record exists to confirm if that man had a son John.]

  6. The identification of John as the husband of Fanny Harwood is largely based on his death in Athol in early 1845, followed by her remarriage as Fanny Moore, also in Athol, in late 1845 to Abraham Harrington.
