Facts and Events
Name John McDill
Gender Male
Birth? 1 Jun 1808
Death? 17 May 1886

A John McDill from enrolled in company I, 2nd regiment - cavalry in Meadville PA on 2/15/1862 and was mustered in 2/28/1862 as a private at Camp Patterson NJ He was listed as 45 at age of enrollment, while this John would have been 54 at enrollment. I think it likely that the "John McDill" listed on the ARIAS PA database cardfiles from Meadville is a member of our Meadville McDill relatives - which one? This John may fit best.

Note that he is likely in the same unit as Porter Johnson of Meadville (listed seperately).

from: http://www.pa-roots.com/~pacw/2ndcavorg.htm this completes the section from Porter Johnson's entry (truncated by program), the two were in the same regiment so this seems OK;
