- ↑ One exception was Tomavorar, constructed on the outfields of Carawhin in an area described by Farquharson as 'good deep dry ground and better than some of the infields' (McArthur 1936, 27). This steading is likely to be the one constructed in 1800 by John Malloch, a tenant repeatedly praised in the estate records as a good improver. It survived into the late 19th century but is shown unroofed on the second edition of the OS map (Perthshire 1900, sheet LXIX NW).
