Sir John Knevit, Kt., who married Elizabeth, daughter of Sir Constantine de Clifton, second Baron Clifton, and by this lady, who was eventually coheiress of her family, he acquired Buckenham Castle, County Norfolk. He served the office of sheriff for that county and for Suffolk in the fifteenth year of Richard II.
