123. John3 Lunt, son of John,2 and grandson of Henry1 of Newbury, was born in Newbury, 22 Oct., 1669. He was a tavern keeper. He married 26 Oct., 1696, Ruth, widow of Capt. Joseph Jewett. … He married (2) in Newbury, 18 Mar., 1734-5, Ann, widow of Joseph Richardson of Newbury. By deed, dated 10 July 1735, John Lunt of Rowley, Innholder, and "Ann Richardson alias Ann Lunt ye now wife of ye sd John Lunt" sell to Joseph Titcomb of Newbury land in Newbury (Essex Deeds, 70:45). By deed, dated 10 Aug., 1736, John Lunt of Rowley sells to John Osborn of Boston, shopkeeper, his dwelling-house and five acres of land in Rowley. Wife Ann Lunt releases dower (Essex Deeds, 72:2). They moved to Salisbury, Mass. He married (3) (int. 12 Nov., 1737 Mary Flanders of Salisbury (Salisbury V. R.). He died in Salisbury, 22 Apr, 1741. His will dated 16 Mar., 1741 mentions himself as of Salisbury; wife, Mary, to have "all her own things of what sort or kind so ever which she brought with her to me; my Grandson John Todd of Rowley; my Grandson Thomas Todd of Rowley; my Granddaughter Ruth Juet Ye wife of Purchase Juett, Granddaughter Abigail Bradstreet of Ipswitch, my Granddaughter Mary Todd which is now with me"; Grandson John Todd of Rowley and Samuel Smith of Salisbury, executors. Inventory shows personal estate, £149-7s-4d. (Essex Probate).
