John O. Keefer, 87, died Monday evening, August 9, at his home in Berlin. He was born February 2, 1861, a son of the late Peter and Margaret (Gloss) Keefer. His wife, Joanne Keefer, died in 1938. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Lottie Schrock of Berlin, and Mrs. Fannie Hickey of Pittsburgh - and by seven grandchildren. Mr. Keefer was a well known contractor and builder, as well as painter, in Berlin, for many years. He was a fine Christian gentleman and never missed attending church until failing health kept him at home. Funeral services were held in the Johnson Funeral Home, Thursday afternoon, at three o'clock, with the Rev. Robert S. Nagle officiating. Interment was made in the Berlin I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
