    10. John Jefts, son of John and Lydia Jefts, was born at Billerica December 19, 1696. It is said that he enlisted from Groton, but it is probable that at the time he was a resident of Billerica. He was one of the men who were instantly killed. He was buried on the field of battle. In the records of Billerica is found "John Jefts died May 8, 1725".
