Named in his father's will, birth year estimated to be 1598 (given as 1589, but obviously a typo, since his parents were known to be married in 1597). Birth place implied to be Saddington, where the parents were married. The family moved to Gumley in or after 1608.
'William's oldest son John married Margery Caslin/Kestin, had seven children, inherited the Gumley property and dated his will there 5 October 1664, which was proved at Leicester on 3 August 1667.'
