History of Framingham, Massachusetts, Including the Plantation, from 1640 to the Present Time, p. 292, says the marriage of Elizabeth Angier in 1726 is to the son, but as the wife of John Sr. had just died (Marlborough VRS, p. 365), and deeds show Elizabeth was the daughter of William Shattuck, hence, born 1684, she would clearly not be marrying the son who was twenty years younger, but the father, who was about 10 years older.
