    John Holbrooke, the younger, was probably born at Norton Malreward, co. Somerset, about 1540. He was mentioned in the will of his father in 1571, in that of his mother in 1592 and was possibly the brother John, with a son William, named in the will of Robert Holbrooke of Queen Charleton in 1616.
